The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that results for both Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Senior Secondary) examinations will be declared by April 15, 2026. This year, a record 38.7 lakh students appeared in CBSE board examinations held from February 15 to April 4.
Students can check their results on the official portals: cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbse.gov.in. DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in) will also provide digitally signed marksheets valid for admissions across all Indian universities.
CBSE Chairperson Dr. Nidhi Chhibber stated: "We have worked to ensure a smooth and transparent result process. This year, re-evaluation requests can be filed online within 48 hours of result declaration." The board has also introduced a new grievance redressal portal for students to flag paper-checking discrepancies.
Class 12 results are critical for admissions to IITs (via JEE Advanced), NITs (via JEE Main), AIIMS and JIPMER (via NEET), and central universities (via CUET). Students are advised to keep their roll number and date of birth ready to access results.
In 2025, the Class 10 pass percentage was 93.4% and Class 12 pass percentage was 87.98%. Female students outperformed male students in both classes for the third consecutive year.
