Shah Rukh Khan is back on the sets of Dunki 2, and the energy is palpable. Director Rajkumar Hirani's sequel to the 2023 blockbuster is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of 2027, and our exclusive access to the Mumbai and London shooting locations has yielded a treasure trove of candid, never-before-seen photographs.

What strikes you immediately on the Dunki 2 set is the warmth. Unlike the high-voltage action franchises that typically dominate Bollywood's conversation, this is a set defined by laughter, quiet moments of preparation, and an extraordinary bond between its lead actor and the crew that has worked with him for decades.

In one particularly striking frame, SRK is seen rehearsing a dialogue with his co-star in a cramped recreation of a Punjabi kitchen, his brow furrowed in concentration while Hirani watches from a monitor just three feet away. The authenticity of the moment is unmistakable — this is not a star performing for cameras, but an artist utterly absorbed in his craft.

The family photographs are equally compelling. During a rare break in the London schedule, SRK was photographed in a park with his youngest son AbRam — an image of simple, unguarded joy that stands in complete contrast to the superstar persona he inhabits the rest of the day.

The film, which reunites the Dunki team with a largely new cast, is scheduled to begin its award season campaign in late 2026 ahead of a theatrical release in early 2027. Based on what our photographers captured, the anticipation is entirely warranted.
