India's iconic Golden Triangle — the triangular tourist circuit connecting Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur — welcomed a record 95 lakh domestic and 18 lakh international tourists in 2025-26. For 2026, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and Tourism Ministry have rolled out significant new attractions and experiences across all three cities.

In Agra, the Taj Mahal Night Tourism programme has been expanded to all seven days of the week (previously only Fridays and Saturdays), with four viewing slots between 8 PM and 1 AM. The ASI has also opened the Agra Fort's Musamman Burj tower to public access for the first time — this is the room where Shah Jahan reportedly spent his final years gazing at the Taj. Entry: Rs 500.

Delhi's Old City trail has been redesigned with 15 QR-code activated heritage story stations along Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid and Lal Qila. A new "Mughal Kitchen Tour" combines historical storytelling with traditional cooking workshops at Purani Dilli's oldest havelis. Duration: 4 hours, Rs 2,500 per person.

Jaipur unveiled its "Pink City Night Walk" in January 2026 — a 3-km illuminated walking trail through the walled city with cultural performances, street art installations and curated local food stalls. The Jaipur Art District (built around the old textile printing quarter) has 45 new contemporary art galleries and studios open to visitors.

The Vande Bharat Express connectivity between Delhi-Agra-Jaipur has been upgraded with new express trains covering Delhi-Jaipur in 4.5 hours and Delhi-Agra in 2 hours 15 minutes. The Indian Railways Golden Triangle Pass (3-day unlimited travel) is priced at Rs 2,999 for tourists.
